1. What do I need to send to Travisa to obtain a Birth Certificate |
| Clear copy of your Driver License/State ID (Please enlarge for clarity) SIGNED Service order form (see below.) This process is done strictly by fax; you do not need to send us anything. Processing times are determined by the individual states (2-11 working days). |
2. What is the cost of a Birth Certificate |
| You will receive 2 separate charges, one for our service fee of $49.00 and one for State fees of $25.00 - $49.00. Fees are payable by credit card ONLY. |
3. Who can request a Certified Birth Certificate |
| Only individuals listed on the certificate or a parent can request a birth certificate. |
4. How long does it take for the State to process my certificate |
| A. The average process times for 95% of the states we service is 2 to 4 days. There are some certified birth certificates that take longer so please take the time to verify your states process time. |
5. How can I order a Birth Certificate through TRAVISA |

6. Can I expedite my passport using Travisa Services |
| We are an independent agency that works with the various state and federal agencies to process and expedite your certified birth certificate, passport and visas. |
7. Can you change or amend records |
| Travisa cannot neither change nor amend records. We can only procure records which are already on file with the state or country where you were born. |
8. Why do I need a certified Birth Certificate? |
| They can be used to apply for your passport, obtain a drivers license, for travel into Canada, Mexico or any other country that only requires a drivers license and birth certificate to enter. |
7. How do I know if I need a certified copy? |
| Certified copies are generally required for legal purposes, such as entry into Canada or entry into kindergarten. A certified copy bears the signature and the raised seal of the Clerk and Recorder’s office. |

11. Can I send an email to Travisa to ask if a birth certificate is on file |

12. What is the difference between a certified and an uncertified copy of a birth certificate |
| A certified copy of a birth certificate issued by the Wisconsin Vital Records Office will have a raised seal, will show the signature of the State Registrar, and will be printed on security paper. A certified copy is required to obtain a state-issued driver’s license or identification, a passport, or insurance benefits, or to travel to some foreign countries. An uncertified copy of a birth certificate is available to anyone who applies. An uncertified copy will contain the same information as a certified copy but will not be acceptable for legal purposes, such as obtaining identification. |
13. How do I request a birth certificate if the birth occurred in another country |
